Imperial Beach

It's a given fact that dogs love to swim, but who knows what other things your best bud can do? Surfing competition for dogs is one of the attraction that people look forward to in visiting Imperial Beach which is one of the most sought out location for the competition and at the Southern part of Imperial Beach, there is a small area of the main Imperial Beach, north of palm avenue, lies an open space for leashed dogs. Dogs will definitely love the long stretch of sandy beach situated in front of Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge. Play catch or walk with your dog while watching the others whiplashing water in their faces atop their surfboards.

Ocean Beach (Dog Beach)

Known for its beautiful and peaceful surroundings, it is also one of the top choices of our Cynophilists. Running is an understatement if you want an adventure with your best bud. Who said that adventures should be too hard? Dogs can roam around and play with you without their leash for 24 hours. You can do full combing of the beach, bonfire by the pits and toss balls all day long. This beach area is at the west end of the San Diego River Floodway, also known as the Ocean Beach Flood Control Channel.
